When nacre secretions are deposited around the seed they build up to form a full sized pearl. Bioscientists went to work to see if we could help Mother Nature along a little. By extracting a seed pearl from young fresh oyster shells and speeding up the process by which the nacre coats the seed pearl, we are able to produce the breathtaking and decadent Hot Chocolate necklace. Poured out in a 22″ matinee length, this perfectly round 10 mm spheres are individually hand knotted. A magnetic clasp elegantly disguised as a garnet-twinkled sterling silver bead makes the strand a breeze to take on or off, to wear doubled, or to convert to a multi-strand bracelet.
